00 Shift Diffential We are currently looking for a Quality Technician with the willingness to learn to work out of our Tuscumbia, AL facility.
Holcim Building Envelope is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive product portfolio for commercial building performance solutions.
The Quality Technician is responsible for visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing and control of products and raw materials to conform to established specifications and applicable standards of Holcim Building Envelope.
Responsibilities:
Performs necessary quality inspection, testing and quality activities; use hand tools and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, radius gages, and thread gages Accurately record, maintain, and analyze testing, defect, and audit data Review test results and documentation to ensure accuracy of preparation and compliance with standard test procedures Perform process and internal audits Identify and control nonconforming product; report to appropriate Quality personnel Perform periodic checks on the floor and bring materials to the lab for further measuring Participate in corrective action and preventive action process Perform waste disposal per work instructions
Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
High school diploma or GED required Experience in a manufacturing environment and an understanding of manufacturing processes Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook preferred Proficiency/knowledge of measuring and inspection tools and techniques Knowledge of the metric system Proven track record of excellent attendance required Good verbal and written communication skills Strong accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated teamwork and professionalism Good mathematical skills Flexibility to work overtime if needed PPE Requirement Safety glasses Safety shoes Hearing protection Physical requirements Must be able to pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation.
Must be clean shaven to meet work requirements Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in an office setting with office business equipment Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time Ability to use hands and arms to lift and reach overhead, carry, grasp, finger, push, and pull.
Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories, phone and specialized lab equipment Occasionally bends, stoops, and kneels Ability to hear at normal speaking levels Required to have visual acuity to regularly utilize close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision to operate laboratory equipment and negotiate manufacturing environment.
Regularly required to do repetitive motions Medium work requiring up to 50lbs of force occasionally and up to 20lbs of force frequently Subject to internal environmental conditions and temperature changes Ability to distinguish color variations.
Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions and proximity to moving mechanical parts and atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
