Flexible working hours This non-profit organization is currently recruiting for a Direct Support Professional.
The successful candidate will be caring and compassionate, with a strong interest in helping people learn and grow.
The DSP should be able to make decisions independently, pay close attention to details and handle crisis situations in a cool-headed manner.
Responsibilities:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Acceptable driving record.
Acceptable Criminal Background Pass Drug Screen and TB skin test.
Willing and able to bend, stoop and assist transition of individuals.
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Support the individual's right to choose to live in their own home, have age-appropriate social experiences, and contribute to their community.
Create activities for individuals with developmental disabilities that are safe and intellectually stimulating.
Work as part of a team or independently.
