2K - $103K a year Tennessee Valley Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Registered Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who excels clinically and relates to people in a way to win confidence and establish rapport with patients and families.
The perfect candidate is able to work collaboratively in a team environment with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and mental health professionals for the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
4 day work week, one weekend per month.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents - Perform physical examinations and assess patients' medical history -Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries and infections in pediatric patients - Monitor and manage chronic conditions in pediatric patients -Order, run and interpret diagnostic tests - Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans as necessary - Conduct developmental screenings and provide counseling on growth and development - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care - Educate patients and their families on preventive care, health promotion, and disease management - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Experience working with pediatric populations and/or a recent and strong pediatric clinical preceptorship is preferred.
